Nicholas Andrew Garcia, age
29, went on to be with the Lord
on Thursday, June 23, 2011. He
died from complications with diabetes.
Nicholas was born on October
15, 1981 to Anthony M and L.
Irene Garcia of Grand Junction,
CO. Nicholas lived his entire life
in Grand Junction and attended
school here in the Grand Valley. He loved to draw, fish, camp, put
model cars together and spend time with his family.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his grandpa, Dillard Fair;
great-grandma, Mildred Greer; great-grandma, Eufelia Espinosa;
uncle, Adelmo Espinosa and uncle, Lee Espinosa. He is survived by
his mother, Irene Garcia; father, Anthony Garcia; younger sister,
Kimberly Garcia; three nieces, Araya, Angel and Jasmin; his
grandma, Lois Johnson; step-grandpa, Vern Johnson; grandma, Julia
Garcia; grandpa, Andrew Garcia, and step-grandma, Kathy Fair;
numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, all of which reside in Grand
Junction, CO.
Nicholas will always remain in our hearts and will be greatly
missed - he will always be a big part of our lives.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
at Northeast Christian Church, 2001 Patterson Road. In lieu of flowers,
the family has requested for contributions to be made directly to
Mesa Funeral Service to help offset funeral expenses. Special thanks
is also expressed to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western
Colorado.
