Julie Lynch of Rifle passed away
peacefully Monday, August 29 at
her favorite place on earth, the
family cabin on East Divide
Creek.
Julie was born to two loving parents,
Joe and Mary (Scherar)
Montover in Fairbanks, AK on
November 6, 1972.When Julie
was six weeks old they moved
back to their hometown of Silt, CO, where she grew up as the loving
sister of her four younger brothers. Julie was educated in the
Garfield RE-2 school district.
She met the love of her life, Lonny Lynch, and they were married
on September 5, 1992 in Silt, CO. Julie and Lonny were blessed
with two wonderful children, Holly and Laine. They enjoyed doing
everything together, such as showing animals at the fair, working on
the farm, and being with family and friends at the cabin. Julie enjoyed
working as a volunteer EMT/Firefighter for 12 years in Rifle,
where she saved and touched many lives. She loved serving her
community in any way she could. Julie was actively involved in 4-H
as a Leader and Garfield County Fair Superintendent. She was
known as "Mama Lynch" to all the kids around her. She also spent
time as a paraprofessional at Highland Elementary.
Julie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Veda
Scherar; grandmother, Shirley Montover; aunt, Joyce Robinson and
uncle, Bill Scherar.
Julie is survived by her husband, Lonny; children, Holly and Laine;
parents, Joe and Mary Montover; mother-in-law Kay Lynch;
father-in-law; John Lynch, Papa Leno Montover; brothers, Chris,
Adam (Kristi), Tim (Darshon), Jesse (Lorna) and many nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many beloved friends.
Services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at
the Rifle Fire Station, 1850 Railroad Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help the Lynch family
at American National Bank in Rifle.
