Mollie Carlucci Harrison Karius, Fallon, NV, passed away on August
14th, 2011 at 97. She was born February 8th 1914, in Clearcreek,
UT.
Mollie was very active during most of her life. She loved taking
trips to visit all of her relatives. Mollie's mode of transportation was
her favored 1956 red and white Chevy Bel Aire and her passion was
crocheting and knitting gifts for her family and friends. The Senior
Center Craft Store in Fallon, NV was blessed to have Mollie work
for them for many years.
She graduated from Fruita High and took courses at Colorado
Mesa University. Mollie was a Keno dealer in Hawthorne and Reno
in her early years. She married Willis John Harrison in 1934 in
Fruita, CO and later Laurence Karius in 1963, in Carson City, NV.
They both preceded her in death.
Mollie Carlucci was the eldest of ten children. She is survived by
her three children, Louise Mae Evans of Reno, NV, who devotedly
cared for her in her later years; Willis Lee Harrison (Caroline) of
Washington, DC, and Larry Dean Harrison (Vicki) of Murray, UT.
Mollie had 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and two
great-great-grandchildren. She leaves two sisters, Gracie Parker and
Rosemary Hitchens (Buster), and one brother, Jasper Carlucci
(Lois).
She will be buried at the new Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita, CO, on
Saturday, August 27th at 11:30 a.m., located at 1175-17 1/4 Rd.
(Mesa St.). There will be a commemorative service at the Smith
Fallon Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista on Saturday, September 2nd at
2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Fallon
Senior Center, 1885 Agency Road, Fallon, NV 89406.
