Visitation will be at 9 a.m. May 9 at Taylor Funeral Service in Delta.
Services will be at 10 a.m. May 9 at the mortuary. Burial will be at Mesa
View Cemetery.
Survivors include four sons, Vern of Aurora, Arvin of Paonia, Larry
of Grand Junction and David of Centennial; two daughters, Betty Ingels
and Carol Stahl, both of Westminster; eight grandchildren; and
nine great-grandchildren.

Viola Frances (Holt) Stahl, 96,
of Arvada, Colorado died April
27, 2012. Viola was a devoted
wife and mother and a devout
woman of faith who lived each
day as an example to God's faithfulness.
Later in life, her interests
included oil painting, ceramics,
and various arts and crafts.
Viola was a long time resident of Paonia, Colorado. She and her
husband, Gerald Stahl, owned and operated Stahl Orchards for many
years. In 1990, she moved to the Denver area where she lived with
her daughters for several years until moving into Springwood Retirement
Community in Arvada in 1995.
She was born March 27, 1916, in Grand Junction, Colorado to
James Franklin and Essie Viola (McDonald) Holt. She was a 1935
graduate of Fruita High School and attended Shield of Faith Bible
Institute in Ft. Worth, Texas for one year. On November 8, 1936,
she married Gerald Leonard Stahl, son of Louis and Lulu Blanche
Stahl. They had seven children.
Viola was preceded in death by son, Jackie on July 4, 1950, and
husband, Gerald, on April 30, 1984. She was also preceded in death
by her parents of Bremerton, WA; six brothers and four sisters.
There are no siblings who survive her.
Her children who survive her are Vern and wife, Deloris of Aurora,
CO; Arvin and wife, Linda of Paonia and Grand Junction, CO; Carol
of Westminster, CO; Larry and wife, Renee of Grand Junction, CO;
Betty and husband, Tim Ingels of Westminster, CO; David and wife,
Debra of Centennial, CO; eight gran children, Russell, Trenton,
Mark, Matthew, Megan, Aaron, Brianna and Robyn, and nine
great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Faye
Holt of Lynwood, WA, and Joan Holt of Weslaco, TX, and numerous
nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be officiated by Rev. Phil Neely who was
her pastor while attending Cedaredge Assembly of God Church. The
service will be held on Wednesday, May 9th at 10:00a.m. at Taylor
Funeral Service in Delta, Colorado with internment following in
Mesa View Cemetery nearby. A viewing for family and friends will
be held one hour prior to service
