Alene V. Boss, 84, Grand Junction, died April 30, 2012, at Hospice
Care Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Martin Mortuary.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Boss was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Carl Robert of Bonners Ferry, Idaho,
Alan of Grand Junction, and Ed of Clifton; two daughters, Joan
Frizell of Grand Junction and Anola “Katie” Ayers of Clifton; two
brothers, Gordon Haller of Fruita and Leslie Haller of Grand Junction;
one sister, Elva Lombardi of Sun City, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren;
27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Alene V. Boss passed away April
30, 2012, at the Hospice Care
Center, she was 84.
Alene was born on December 2,
1927, in Fruita, CO, from the
union of Les and Elva Haller. She
g r a d u a t e d f r o m F r u i t a H i g h
School. She married Carl E. Boss
on September 7, 1946, in Fruita.
He preceded her in death on August
19, 2007.
Alene enjoyed country music
and playing bingo. In her early
years she enjoyed fishing and
camping with Carl and the children.
She always mentioned that
her favorite times were at the Topeka
Dance Hall, dancing with
Carl. Family and friends will always
remember Alene's saying
"here today, gone tomorrow".
Alene leaves behind three sons,
Carl Robert (Judy) Boss of Bonners Ferry, ID; Alan (Eileen) Boss of
Grand Junction, CO; Ed (Denise) Boss of Clifton, CO; two daughters,
Joan (Rob) Frizell of Grand Junction, CO and Anola "Katie"
Ayers and T.L of Clifton, CO; two brothers, Gordon Haller of
Fruita, CO, and Leslie Haller of Grand Junction, CO. a sister; Elva
Lombardi of Sun City, AZ; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren
and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl and two sisters,
Renee and Madelyn.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2012,
at Martin Mortuary. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6,
2012, from 6 - 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow services
at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
