Glenda M. Francis, 65,
Grand Junction, died Dec. 1,
2011, at Hospice Care Center.
Visitation will be from 10 to
10:30 a.m. Thursday at First
Christian Church-Disciples
of Christ. Services will take
place at 11 a.m. Thursday at the
church. Burial will be at Grand
Junction Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Francis was an accounting
technician.
Survivors include her husband,
Jerry; one daughter, Sharri
Peters of Grand Junction; her
mother, Olive Lehman of Grand
Junction; one brother, Ron
Lehman of Lakewood; one sister
Karen Lehman of Grand Junction;
and two grandchildren.

Glenda Mae Francis passed
away December 1, 2011 at the
Hospice Care Center with her
loving family at her side. She was
65 years old.
Glenda was born April 11, 1946
in Grand Junction, CO to Marvin
and Olive Lehman. She spent her
childhood in Grand Junction and
graduated from Grand Junction
High School in 1964.
On July 23, 1971, Glenda married Jerry Francis, with whom she
spent forty great years. They had one daughter together.
Glenda worked as an accounting technician for the Grand Junction
Regional Center for over 30 years before retiring in 2002, then volunteered
at the Marillac Clinic for 7 years. Glenda served her church
as a member of the diaconate for almost 10 years. She had a passion
for bowling and competed in both state and national bowling finals
for years. Glenda especially enjoyed spending time with family and
her grandkids, playing cards and sharing special moments with
friends. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by father, Marvin Lehman. Survivors
include her mother, Olive Lehman; husband, Jerry; daughter, Sharri
(Jeffrey) Peters; grandchildren, Alexander and Ethan Peters; brother,
Ronald (Vicky) Lehman; and sister, Karen Lehman; as well as many
nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2011 at
11:00 a.m. in the First Christian Church Chapel, 1326 N. 1st Street.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to
Hospice & Palliative Care of Western CO. Arrangements are under
the care of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
