Donald Wayne Causer, of Cripple Creek, Colorado, formally of
Clifton, passed away on December 6th, 2011 at his home. He was 58
years old. Donald was affectionately known as the “Mountain Manâ€.
Donald was a veteran of the US Navy, and a lifetime member of
the Disabled Veterans. He was a volunteer at the Aspen Mine Center
in Cripple Creek and did various volunteer work for disadvantaged
people in the area.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Simons Causer of Florissant;
his son, Vincent Causer of Whittier, California; his daughter, Amber
Causer of Denver; his brother, George V. Causer of Arvada; two
sisters, Diane Reid (Greg) of Florissant and Julia Herland (Shane) of
Palisade; step-brothers, Robert DeWitt (Callie) of Pueblo, Colorado;
Bernie Dewitt (Debbie) of Craig; step-sisters, Sharon Mathes (Pete)
of Clifton; Diane Pinneo (Steve) of Grand Junction; Tina Lawson
(Billy) of Olney Springs; Linda Causer of Arvada, and many nieces
and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George O.
Causer; step-mother, Edith Causer and a son, Christopher Causer.
Mountain View Funeral Home in Divide, Colorado was in charge
of arrangements and Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Florissant
at a later date. Services were held in Divide on Saturday, December
17th, 2011.
