Dennis William Jamieson passed
away December 13, 2011 at the
Royal Shore Hospital in Sydney,
Australia, as a result of cancer. He
was 66 years old. He was born to
Hardie William Jamieson and
Virginia Jamieson Wyatt on September
15, 1945 in Delta, CO. He
attended school in Delta until 1955 and moved to Grand Junction.
He graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1963. He attended
Mesa State College for two years, and then The University of
Utah for two years. He married Celeste Potratz. They were later divorced.
Dennis joined the Marines and went to the Basic School Marine
Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia. He graduated as First Lieutenant
on May 1, 1968 and was sent to Vietnam for one year. He took his R
& R to Sydney, Australia and loved the country. There, he met Margaret
Ringland and they were married in Sidney in 1969. They subsequently
moved back to Grand Junction where their two children
were born. Dennis worked with his father in the trucking business
and later as a Real Estate Broker. He moved back to Sydney and
worked for Dun & Bradstreet, and later, for the city, driving a city
bus, his favorite job of all.
He is survived by his son, Erick Jamieson, and daughter, Allison
Jamieson, both of Portland, OR, and his mother, Virginia Jamieson
Wyatt of Grand Junction. He was preceded in death by his father,
Hardie Jamieson; step-father, George Wyatt, and several aunts,
uncles, and cousins.
Dennis’ remains will be returned to Grand Junction by his best
friend, Andrew Green, and his wife, Sineaid Green.
Graveside services will be at a later date in Olathe, Colorado.
Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

at Olathe Cemetery.
Mr. Jamieson was a bus driver.
Survivors include one son,
Erick of Portland, Ore.; one
daughter, Allison Jamieson of
Portland; and his mother, Virginia
Wyatt of Grand Junction.

83, Grand Junction, died Feb. 1,
2012, at her home.
Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m.
Saturday at Grace Lutheran
Church in Wyndmoor, Pa. Services
will be at 10:30 a.m. at the
church.
Ms. Poleri was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son,
Thomas of Oreland, Pa.; one
daughter, Deborah Poleri of
Grand Junction; two grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
