Calvin "Cal" Edward Skidmore
was born on September 2, 1944 in
Grand Junction to George and
Lola (Hooker) Skidmore. Cal
graduated from Palisade High
School in 1962, later receiving his
Bachelors degree in Accounting.
Cal was a member of the ATA
Trap Shooting Association, NRA, and UCAR. He thoroughly enjoyed
spending time at his cabin and at home with his family, his
time at the trap club, hunting, trap shooting, stock cars, and breeding
and training labs for hunting. Cal was an avid outdoorsman, and
a fan of NASCAR, the Broncos, and the Rockies. Those who knew
him best will always remember his whistling.
Cal is survived by his wife, Linda J. Skidmore of Grand Junction;
his sons, Scott, Chris (Rhonda), and Todd Skidmore all of Grand
Junction; Jeff (Sarah) Hart of Grand Junction, and Bryan Hart of
Boise, Idaho; daughter, Wendi ( Russ) Skidmore Brady of Fruita;
brothers, Lynn Robison of Grand Junction; Gary Robison of Alaska,
and Sherm Robison of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Caleen Street and Laura
Bishop both of Grand Junction; five grandchildren, Derrick (Geri-
Lyn) Stanley, Larita Dawn Skidmore, Zachary Hart, and Hannah
Hart, and one great-granddaughter, Grace Stanley.
At Cal's request no services will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Pavillion Oncology
department through The St. Mary's Foundation.
Arrangements are under the care of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
