Douglas Lee Mayne, 61, passed away in his boyhood home in Gypsum, on June 2. There will be a graveside service Friday, June 8 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Gypsum at 2 p.m.
Doug was born in Glenwood Springs and remained a life-long resident of Eagle County. He finished his career at Elam Construction where he worked as a Base Foreman for more than 20 years.
Doug was married to Karen Mayne for 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his five children: Kimberly Harmen, Ricky Mayne, Lori Cuno, Jeff Apodaca and Rebecca McAllister. Doug also is survived by seven grandchildren: Ashley and Devon Mayne, Jessie and Jeffrey Cuno, Ethan and James Harrison Apodaca, and Jason Douglas Jones, and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Dave and Kent Mayne, and sisters, Joalene Woodward and Joyce Melchor.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, James Leroy Mayne, mother Elva Bates-Mayne, brother James “Jake” Leroy Mayne Jr. and grandson James Douglas Cuno.
