Charles “Ray” Stanberry,
58, Clifton, died Feb. 1, 2012, at
St. Mary’s Hospital.
Services are pending through
Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Mr. Stanberry was a longhaul
mover.
Survivors include one son,
James F. of Aurora; his mother,
Pat Stanberry of Fruita; one
brother, Mike of El Jebel; one
sister, Elaine Azoulay of Fruita;
and two grandchildren.

Charles Ray Stanberry, age 58, of Clifton, CO passed away on
February 1, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction.
Ray was born on December 13, 1953 in Montpelier, ID to James C.
and Mary Eleanor (Patrick) Stanberry. Ray attended schools in both
Montrose and Basalt, CO. He was a restaurant manager and a long
haul mover.
Ray married Carol Jean Hendrickson on July 7, 1977; they later divorced.
Ray was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his mother, Mary “Pat” Stanberry of Fruita; son,
James F. (Hannah) Stanberry of Aurora; brother, Mike Stanberry of
El Jebel; sister, Elaine Azoulay of Fruita; two grandchildren, Caleb
and Emily, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by his father, James C. Stanberry, and sister, Margaret Eileen
Stanberry.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at
Living Waters Baptist Church, 1822 J 3/10 Road, Fruita, CO 81521
with Pastor Nate Holt officiating. A reception will follow the service
at the church.
Arrangements are under the care of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
