Donald "Don" Fogale was born
on July 18, 1936 in Sterling, CO
to Simon Antonio and Cora May
(Hatch) Fogale. He passed away
on February 3, 2012, at LaVille
Grande Care Center in Grand
Junction, CO. Don graduated
from high school in Peetz, CO
and attended CSU in Fort Collins.
On October 15, 1957, Don married
Gertie Mari at St. Anthony in Sterling. He was a rancher and a
contractor throughout his life. He has been a resident of Grand
Junction for the past ten years but has also been a resident of Akron,
CO and New Castle, CO.
Don was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and enjoyed
hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Gertie Fogale of Grand Junction; son,
Wes (Cathy) Fogale of Fergus Falls, MN; daughter, Shelley Fogale
(Bill) Johnson, and four grandchildren, Cassy, A.J., and Josh Fogale,
and Britni Johnson.
A memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at
2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Reverend Edmundo
Valera, PhD. celebrating the Mass.
Arrangements are under the care of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Junction, died Feb. 3, 2012, at La
Villa Grande Care Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today
at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Mr. Fogale owned and operated
a contracting company and
was a rancher.
Survivors include his wife,
Gertie; one son, Wes of Fergus
Falls, Minn.; one daughter, Shelley
Fogale-Johnson of Rifle; and
four grandchildren.
