LaVon Ann Frost Hoffman, 52,
entered the protective arms of her
Lord, on Thursday, February 2,
2012.
LaVon was born July 21, 1959
to Lee and JoAnn Frost in Delta,
Colorado. She attended schools in
Eckert and Cedaredge, and graduated
from Cedaredge High School in 1978. She completed a Secretarial
& Book Keeping course at the Delta Montrose Technical College.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedaredge
and active in the youth fellowship and was an AWANA Youth
leader.
LaVon had a deep love for animals and was an avid horsewomen,
serving as a wrangler for Tiger Run Tours at Dry Gulch in Summit
County and Rimrock Rodeo Adventures in Fruita. LaVon was also
instrumental in starting and managing The Flying AH, a nonprofit
horse rescue. Through her passion for horses and a true testament to
her character, she mentored many foster kids and others doing
community service. She owned Majestic Peaks Cleaning Company
and operated it with her daughters. In addition, LaVon was an accomplished
artist and enjoyed photography and the outdoors.
LaVon will be greatly missed by her daughters, Ashlee Hoffman
and Ryan Flint of Mesa, and Aleesha and Luke Dobbs of Fruita; her
grandchildren, Astreae', Aerro, Lane, Dakota and Sierra; her parents,
Lee and JoAnn Frost of Grand Junction; a brother, Scott and Kim
Frost of Cedaredge, CO; sisters, Lisa and Mark McMillan of Cedaredge
and DeEtta and Jim Latta of Frisco, CO; her grandmother,
Dorothy Gregory of Grand Junction, CO, and multiple nieces and
nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends,
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February
8th, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Cedaredge, CO with Pastor
Mark Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedaredge Cemetery.

and Aleesha Dobbs of Fruita;
her parents, Lee and JoAnn
Frost of Grand Junction; her
grandmother, Dorothy Gregory
of Grand Junction; one brother,

Cleo Korb, 98, Clifton, died
Feb. 3, 2012, at Family Health
West.
Services will be at 2 p.m.
Thursday at Grand Junction
Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Korb was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter,
Carolyn Clark of Grand
Junction, four grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
