Jack Casto Sr., died Feb. 7,
2012, at Hospice Care Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday
at Martin Mortuary Chapel,
with burial to follow at Orchard
Mesa Cemetery.
Mr. Casto was a rancher.
Survivors include one son,
Jack Jr. of Whitewater; one
daughter, Alice Sackett of
Whitewater; two brothers, Ed
of Grand Junction and Beeman
of Unaweep Canyon; one sister,
Lois Hubbard of Nucla; and six
grandchildren.

Jack passed away on February 7,
2012, to be with his loving wife
Rosemary.
Jack was born on November 24,
1 9 3 5 , t o B y r l a n d V i v i e n n e
(Schwartz) Casto. He was raised
in the Unaweep Canyon, later
moving to Gateway.
Jack married the love of his life,
Rosemary Ames, on February 23,
1969. To that union came two children, Jack Jr. and Alice.
Jack and Rosemary worked their cattle ranch until retiring in 1999.
They then moved to Delta where they made many new friends and
embarked on new endeavors.
They enjoyed fishing, traveling, and four-wheeling. But Jack loved
spending time with six grandchildren. They were the light of his life.
Jack is survived by his son, Jack Jr (Felicia) of Whitewater, CO;
and his daughter, Alice (Darby) Sackett of Whitewater; his six
grandchildren, Kaylin, Matt, Kylee, Caleb, Dylan and Cole. Other
survivors include two brothers, Beeman and Ed, and his sister, Lois.
He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Rosemary, and
his parents, Byrl and Vivienne Casto.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, February
10, 2012, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place after
the service at the Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
