Arlyn Martens, owner of Waterscapes
of Grand Junction, Co.,
passed quietly at the Hospice
Care Center Thursday, February
9th 2012, at the age of 75.
Born December 8th, 1936, Arlyn
spent her life in Colorado where
she was passionate about her water
gardening business, her pets,
her family and friends.
Arlyn was married to John Martens on June 14, 1969. They loved
to travel and they loved to water garden. In fact, they loved to water
garden so much they started their own business building and
maintaining ponds and water falls in addition to raising all kinds of
water plants, and fish including KOI.
Arlyn was a member of the Desert Vista Garden Club, The Red
Hat Society of Grand Junction, played Bunco on a regular basis with
good friends, and was an avid supporter and contributor of animal
welfare programs throughout the World.
Arlyn, who was loved by so many, is survived by her husband,
J o h n Ma r t e n s o f 4 3 y e a r s ; s t e p - s o n a n d d a u g h t e r - i n - l a w
John and Joellen Martens, their three children, Jessica, Nathan, and
Ian; step-daughter Kim Martens; and Josie and Tanoi Rucker, whom
were like daughters to her.
In keeping with Arlyn’s wishes there will not be a Memorial
Service.
