Melba Youker, age 89, died at
La Villa Grande Care Center on
February 4, 2012.
Melba was born on October 14,
1922, in Delta, CO to John and
Lena (Browing) Hallock. She
spent her childhood in Delta,
g r a d u a t i n g f r o m D e l t a H i g h
School. She later attended Mesa
State College in Grand Junction.
Melba married Robert Youker in February, 1980. They were members
of the Good Sams Club, where they often enjoyed fishing, and
camping. Melba enjoyed spending time with family, especially her
grandchildren.
She is survived by children, Steve Swisher of Aurora; Janet Tennyson
of Grand Junction; step-children, Alan Youker of California;
Rick Youker, Jan Faranetti,and Judy Lowdermilk, all of Grand
Junction; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will take place Sunday, February 19, 2012, at
2:00 p.m. at Martin Mortuary. Pastor Jason McManus of Clifton Assembly
of God will officiate.
