Neil Dean Veatch, 76,
Grand Junction, died April 4,
2012, at Veterans Affairs Medical
Center.
Services will be at 8 a.m.
Monday at Gospel Way Baptist
Church. Burial is to follow at
10 a.m. at Veterans Memorial
Cemetery of Western Colorado.
Survivors include his wife,
Norma; six sons, Bruce of
Fruita, Bryan of Litchfield
Park, Ariz., Craig of Greeley,
Dennis of Palisade, Roger of
Grand Junction and Russell of
Clifton; 16 grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.

Neil D. Veatch passed away on
April 4, 2012, in Grand Junction,
Colorado. He was 75 years old.
Neil was born on April 9, 1936,
in Grand Junction to Clarence and
Eva (Anderson) Veatch. He spent
his childhood in the Pear Park
Area. Neil graduated from Central
High School.
He married Norma Jean Cruse
on April 9, 1960. She survives.
Neil served in the Navy from 1956 - 1959. He was a life long
member of the VFW and Odd Fellow. He enjoyed fishing, camping,
and gardening.
In addition to his loving wife, Norma Jean, Neil is survived by
sons, Bruce (Samma) of Fruita; Russell (Eschelle) of Clifton; Dennis
(Tonja) of Palisade; Roger (Jennifer) of Grand Junction; Craig
(Debbie) of Greeley, and Bryan (Alexia) of Litchfield Park, AZ;
bothers, Keith of Grand Junction, and Eugene of Denver; sisters,
Naola Urban of Grand Junction; Anita Urban of Denver; Arliss
Sanders of Denver, and Linda Kaufman of Palisade. Neil also leaves
behind 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded
in death by both his parents.
Memorial services will be on Monday, April 9, at Gospel Way
Baptist Church, 2876 B Road, Grand Junction, from 8 - 9:00 a.m.
Military Committal Service with full honors will follow at 10:00
a.m. at the Veteran’s Cemetery. OJ Holler will officiate.
