Garnett, aka, Mom, Grandma,
Great-Grandma, was taken from
us at the age of 80, on April 13,
2012.
S h e w a s b o r n a n d r a i s e d i n
Leadville, CO, finally residing in
Grand Junction in the 1950’s.
Garnett was a nursing assistant
at St. Mary’s for 33 years, retiring
in 1991.
Her sweet but feisty personality will be greatly missed by us all.
S h e e n j o y e d w a t c h i n g h e r d a u g h t e r , g r a n d c h i l d r e n , a n d
great-grandchildren growing up. She enjoyed attending various
sporting events and loved taking care of her cats.
Garnett has been patiently waiting for 21 years to join the love of
her life in Heaven, her husband, Stanley Podpechan.
“When you get to Heaven, tell Dad, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa
we love and miss them”. We love and miss you, until we meet
again, you will remain in our hearts forever.
Survivors include daughter, Stannette Wilkerson; grandchildren,
Pat, Adam and Dustin Wilkerson, and Shelly Ramos, and
great-grandchildren, Harleigh and Guy Ramos, Terick, Bryce and
Kanyon Wilkerson.
Graveside services will be held on April 20, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at
Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to
Roice-Hurst Humane Society.

Garnett O. Podpechan, 80, Grand Junction, died April 13,
2012, at LaVilla Grande Care Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Grand Junction Memorial
Gardens.
Survivors include one daughter, Stannette Wilkerson of Grand
Junction; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
