Marge - "A pearl" For I know
the thoughts that I think toward
you says the Lord, thoughts of
peace and not evil, to give you a
future and hope. Jeremiah 29:11.
Our Mom, Grandma and sister
passed away on April 23, 2012, at
the age of 73 at the Hospice Care
Center of Western Colorado.
She was born to Frank and Elizabeth Rothweiler in Milwaukee, WI
on March 9, 1939. Marge graduated from Lincoln Junior/Senior
High School in 1957. She met Jim Suminski when she was 14 and
they were married on June 20th, 1959. They spent 38 loving years
together and she is once again by his side. They moved to Grand
Junction in 1977 with their two children, Jim and Lori.
Marge worked at K-mart for 20 years retiring in 2005. She enjoyed
painting ceramics and cooking shows. Not really being a lover
of cats, she brought a stray cat (Misty) home from K-mart nine years
ago and gave it a loving home.
Marge is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Vickie
Suminski of Rifle; a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Tom Sheldon
of Grand Junction; one sister, Delores Papp of Milwaukee, WI;
four grandkids, David Suminski of Rifle; Amy and husband, Casie
Dunlap of Rifle, and Jessica and Jamie Sheldon of Grand Junction.
She was always so proud of the accomplishments of her grandkids.
The definition of the word pearl says it best: very rare, fine, admirable,
and valuable. Marge will be missed and remembered in ways
we can only begin to imagineā€¦.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday April 25, 2012, at
11:30 in Callahan-Edfast's Chapel, 2515 Patterson Road, Grand
Junction, Colorado. The family would like to give a special thank
you to all the staff at SMH ICU and the Hospice Care Center.
