John Carl Madonian, 93, Grand Junction, died April 21, 2012,
at Hospice Care Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of
Western Colorado.
Mr. Madonian was a tool-and-die maker.
Survivors include his wife, Rose; one son, Richard J. of Grand
Junction; one daughter, Diane L. Tolle of Grand Junction; two
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

John Madonian went to be with
his Lord on April 21st, 2012.
John was born in Constantinople,
Turkey and grew up in
New York City, Cleveland, Ohio
and Michigan. He served his
country honorably for six years in
the Army National Guard and
three years in the United States
Air Force. He loved this country
very much and always showed his patriotism.
Following his military service he took a vacation in Canada where
he met his future wife, Rose Marlian, who came to Michigan as a
war bride. After they were married he was employed at General
Motors Tech Center as a tool and die maker.
Johns' favorite hobbies were golf and landscaping. He took great
pride in his property and always said he was doing God’s work. He
was also gifted in making tiffany lamps and designed and built many
home additions and renovations.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Hermine and is survived
by his wife, Rose; a son, Richard, and a daughter, Diane
(Greg) Tolle; grandsons, Avery Tolle and Eric Tolle; five
great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. The pride of
John's life was his family. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of his life will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary
on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with interment
at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors in Grand
Junction at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice
and Palliative Care of Western Colorado.
