Evelyn M. Burkenbine passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April
24, 2012, at her residence in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was 93
years of age.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday,
April 27, 2012, at the Delta City Cemetery in Delta, Colorado.
Evelyn M. Dolan was born on October 25, 1918, to Eugene and
Leeta Dolan in Iliff, Colorado but grew up and spent most of her life
in Delta, Colorado.
Evelyn married Virgil Burkenbine on August 7, 1938. He preceded
her in death on August 8, 1984.
Evelyn lived for her family and will always be remembered for her
kind and loving ways. She never met a stranger and loved to visit
with people.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Davis and spouse,
Donald Dean Davis of Grand Junction, Colorado; two grandsons;
two great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters and eight
great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to be
made in Evelyn's memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western
Colorado, 3090 North 12th Street, Unit B, Grand Junction, Colorado
81506.
