Michael Allen Morrison, passed
away peacefully surrounded by
his family on Tuesday, April 24,
2012, in Delta, Colorado. He was
52 years of age.
A celebration of Michael's life
will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday,
April 30, 2012, at Canyon View Vineyard Church in Grand
Junction, Colorado.
Michael Allen Morrison was born to Norman and Martha (Norvell)
Morrison on April 17, 1960, in Delta, Colorado. He spent his childhood
and attended schools in Casper, Wyoming and Delta, Colorado.
Michael moved to Grand Junction in 1979.
Michael, a manufacturing press operator, enjoyed playing Texas
Holdem and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was also an
avid Chicago Bears and WWE Wrestling fan.
Michael is survived by his former wife and Angel, Shirley Rubio
of Grand Junction; four daughter, Heather (Hiram) Reyez; Kimberly
(Jamie Shoup) Morrison; Amber (Gary Clairday) Morrison,
and Amber (Levi) Hartman-Bevan all of Grand Junction; two brothers,
Bill (Marty) Morrison of Casper, WY, and Dennis (Patty) Morrison
of Delta; two sisters, Jennifer (Paul) Downey of Alamosa, CO,
and Sheryl (Dave) Romero of Grand Junction. He is further survived
by seven grandchildren, Isaiah, Alexis and Josiah Reyez, Jordan
Morrison, Jaylynn Archuleta, Sadie Morrison, and Jason Clairday;
father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tommy and Josie Fresquez of
Delta; three sisters-in-law, Sandra and Nancy Fresquez and Judy
Shay; one brother-in-law, Carl Barks, and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; uncle, Johnny Norvell;
an infant brother; a niece, and a nephew.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Michael's
memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado, P.O.
Box 24, Delta, Colorado 81416.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral
Service and Crematory.
