Rosemary Ledbetter passed
away peacefully on March 4,
2012, at the Family Health West
nursing home in Fruita, Colorado,
surrounded by her loving and devoted
family.
She was born in Charleston, Arkansas
to parents, Claude and
Virginia Mitchell and spent a full
and adventurous life as loving
daughter, wife, and mother having lived in Arkansas, Oklahoma,
New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Utah. Rosemary met her future
husband, JM (Jake) Ledbetter, in 1933 at a swimming creek in
Solgohachia, Arkansas while on vacation. They married five years
later and lived in more than 20 places in their 36 year marriage as
Jake worked in mines and building roads throughout the southwest,
until his untimely death in 1973. She was always a devoted wife and
mother, who loved dancing, sewing and making clothes for her
family, as well as working with the public.
She is survived by her two sons, James Ledbetter and wife, Barbara;
Keith Ledbetter and wife, Stella; sister and house mate of 20
years, Peggy Mitchell; granddaughters, Kathy Fulton (Doug);
Carolyn Helland (Greg); Sherrie Miller (Mike); step-grandchildren,
Dan Nicol, and Jeff Nicol (Tiffany), and 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary
in Grand Junction, Colorado, at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 9,
2012. She will be buried in Los Alamos, NM next to her beloved
husband, JM.

Survivors include two sons,
James and Keith; one sister,
Peggy Mitchell; five grandchildren;
and 11 great-grandchildren.
