Jacqueline “Jackie” Marian
McCoy, 89, Grand Junction,
died March 5, 2012, at her
residence.
Ms. McCoy worked at the
Grand Junction Credit Bureau
and also was an assistant manager
at Mesa College Bookstore.
Survivors include two sons,
Frank of Ho Chi Minh City,
Vietnam, and William Charles
“Chuck” of Leander, Texas; two
grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.

passed away March 5, 2012, at
the age of 89.
She was born in Pasadena, California
on October 3, 1922, to John
and Jacqueline "Sylvia" Humiston.
At age eleven she arrived in
Bayfield, CO and spent the rest of
her growing up years with her grandmother and uncles on their
ranch. In 1940 Jackie attended Ft. Lewis College when it was located
in Hesprus, CO to study pre-med.
Further nurses training led her to Denver where she became reacquainted
with Charles McCoy whom she'd known from high school.
They married in 1942. Jackie and Charles had a very loving life together
until his death in December of 1989.
Jackie is survived by sons, Frank McCoy of Ho Chi Men City,
Vietnam, and William Charles "Chuck" McCoy and wife, Vickie of
Leander, TX; a granddaughter, Shelby Murphy and husband, Louis
and great-grandchildren, Jettin and Maverick of Granbury, TX; a
g r a n d d a u g h t e r , R a n d i S a l m e l a a n d h u s b a n d , P a t r i c k a n d
great-grandson, London of Leander, TX.
Jackie worked at Grand Junction Credit Bureau and Mesa College
Bookstore.
In addition to her family, she loved gardening and created beautiful
flower gardens. She also cared for many stray cats and especially
loved her house cat B.B. and her many dear friends.
A graveside ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012,
at 11:00 a.m. at the Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
