CJ Edwards went home to be
with the Lord March 5, 2012.
CJ was born July 12, 1955, in
Independence, Kansas to Claude
and Lois Edwards. He moved
with his family in 1957, to Raisin
City, California where he attended
school and graduated from
Caruthers High School. CJ was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy,
receiving an honorable discharge in 1977. He met the love of his life
and soul mate, Jean, in 1978; they were married in 1983.
CJ loved being outside, either hunting or fishing. He worked for
the city of Grand Junction Street Department until his retirement in
2005. He was always the life of the party and was always the first to
help those in need.
CJ is survived by his wife, Jean; three sisters, Kathy Mitchell
(Mitch) of Grand Junction; Carol Souza (Danny) of Caruthers, CA,
and Shelly Glass (Raymond) of Raisin City, CA; brother, Tom Edwards
(Barbara) of Jal, New Mexico, along with numerous nieces,
nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, father,
and brother, Bobby Ray Edwards.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 11 at Fellowship
Church at 2:00 p.m.
