Joe “JD” Diaz has parted this life
to take his final Harley ride to
Heaven. He was 63 years young.
JD fought a very courageous
battle with pancreatic cancer for 4
years and 2 and 1/2 months. JD
was the second son born to Joe
and Margaret Diaz in Glenwood
Springs. He served in Vietnam
with the US Navy and was proud
to be a veteran. JD was a coal miner for 35 years. He had a lot of
adventures in life and loved to share them with you. He loved to
spend time with his family, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley.
JD loved all of his four legged babies.
JD is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Cass and there two
babies, Abby & Bella; his folks, Joe & Margaret Diaz of Silt; two
brothers, Anthony & Robert Diaz of Rifle; one son, Mike of TN;
many wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, two granddaughters,
one great grandson, and the most amazing friends in the
world.
A Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012 at St.
Mary’s Catholic Church, 761 Burch Ave., in Rifle, Colo. Interment
following at Skyline Cemetery, Silt, CO with graveside military services.
Condolences may be shared with Cass Diaz, Box 238, Cedaredge,
CO 81413. There will be a celebration of life for JD this spring in
Cedaredge, CO.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral
Service and Crematory.

Joe “JD” Diaz, 63, Cedaredge, died March 7, 2012, at his home.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church in Rifle. Burial will follow at Skyline Cemetery in Silt.
Survivors include his wife, Cass; one son, Mike of Tennessee; his
parents, Joe and Margaret Diaz of Silt; two brothers, Anthony and
Robert of Rifle; two grandchildren and; one great-grandchild.
