Survivors include his wife,
Betty; four daughters, Donna
High of Kenai, Alaska, Bobby
High of Gig Harbor, Wash.,
Karen Cook of Harrisburg,
Ill., and Jean Green of Rifle; 10
grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren;
and one great-great
grandchild.

Loyal Norton Morrow was born
June 6, 1916, in Parachute, Colorado,
and went to be with the
L o r d o n Ma r c h 1 6 , 2 0 1 2 , i n
Grand Junction, Colorado, at the
age of 95 years, nine months and
eight days.
Loyal was the fourth of six children
of Harry and Hattie Morrow,
all of whom preceded him in
death.
He married Betty L. Green on November 2, 1989, in Rifle, Colorado.
The couple lived in Battlement Mesa, Parachute, Colorado, for
13 years before moving to Grand Junction, Colorado. Loyal was an
electrician by trade. He worked for Mid Continent Mines and retired
from Flaming Gorge Dam. He served as a Corporal in U. S.
Army during WWII from 1942-1945 in the African and European
Theaters. He received the European African Middle Eastern Service
Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and an Honorable Discharge. Loyal
was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He grew up in the
Christian Church in Rifle, CO, and attended the Church of the Nazarene
in Grand Junction, CO. He will always be remembered by family
and friends for his wry sense of humor and his engaging smile.
Loyal is survived by his wife, Betty Morrow; by his children,
Donna High of Kenai, Alaska, and Barbara (Kenny) High of Gig
Harbor, Washington; by step-children, Karen (Mike) Cook, and Jean
Green (deceased husband, Tom Green); by ten grandchildren, 12
great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and by many nieces
and nephews, who were each his "favorite."
Memorial services for Loyal were held Tuesday, March 20, at 2:00
p.m. at Martin Mortuary in Grand Junction, CO. Interment was
Wednesday, March 21, 2012, in the Veterans Cemetery in Grand
Junction, CO, with military honors.
