Lillian O. Brown, 88, died on
Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Mantey
Heights Rehabilitation Center,
Grand Junction, Colorado. She
was formerly from White Lake,
WI and moved to Gateway, CO in
1983, then to Grand Junction in
2000.
Lillian was born on May 19,
1923, the daughter of Hans and
Margaret (Zilch) Larson Sr. in Mattoon, WI where she grew up.
Lillian married Troy Brown on June 28, 1941, in White Lake, WI
and raised her family there. Troy preceded her in death in 1993.
Lillian worked hard throughout her life and especially loved cooking
and cake decorating for her family, friends and employers. She
also loved photography, fishing, camping, crafts, her religious affiliations,
her friends and her family.
Survivors include her sons, Troy Brown of Gateway, CO; Ron
(Zelinda) Brown, Fruita, CO, and Pat (Mary) Brown, Grand Junction,
CO. There are several grandchildren, Matt (Traci) Brown of
Stevens Point, WI; Bryan Brown of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Ron
(Stacey) Brown, Darron Brown and Patrick (Cindy) Brown, all of
Grand Junction, CO. She also has many great-grand-children and
one great-great-grandchild. Lillian is also survived by her sisters,
Hannah and Marie Malliett of Combined Locks, WI; Bertha (Leon)
Leeds, Waupaca, WI, and a brother, Hans (Ruth) Larson Jr., Mattoon,
WI.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death
by her brother, Arthur Larson and sister, Emogene Matzke, both of
Wisconsin.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19,
2012, at the Oddfellow's section of Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
