Life-time Burns resident Mrs. Harriet A. BURROWS, 70 [sic. 60] died June 7 at Aspen Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born Harriet A. Cook [sic. COCK] on November 10, 1912 at Burns. She spent her childhood at Burns, and married Elmer S. BURROWS at Glenwood Springs on June 2, 1930. Her husband survives her.
Mrs. BURROWS was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include four brothers: Joseph COCK of Mesa, Colo.; Ernest COCK of McCoy; Henry G. COCK of Denver; and Charles COCK of Newport, Oregon; and two sisters: Mrs. Bertha STULL of McCoy and Dorothy WELLS of Grand Junction. Mrs. BURROWS was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jane FORRESTER and Beatrice Christine OWENS; and a brother, Walter Bryan COCK.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 9, at the Eagle Methodist Church by Rev. O. Gregory SMITH. Burial was in the McCoy Cemetery.
