Viola M. Kraft, 87, Grand Junction, died June 27, 2012, at Hospice
Care Center.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the American Lutheran
Church with inurnment to follow at 3 p.m. at the Veterans Cemetery
of Western Colorado.
Mrs. Kraft was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn; one son, Robert of Los
Banos, Calif.; one daughter, Sandra Kraft of Mechanicsville, Md.;
one brother, Robert Nelson of Minneapolis, Minn.; and six grandchildren.

Viola Mae Kraft left this earthly
world on June 27, 2012. She was
87.
Viola M. Nelson was born in
Cumberland, Wisconsin on September
3, 1924, to Norwegian
farming parents, Arthur and Alma
Nelson. She grew up in Cumberland,
graduating from Cumberl
a n d H i g h S c h o o l , a n d l a t e r
worked as a secretary and office manager.
Vi married Glenn E. Kraft, also of Cumberland on June 5, 1948.
After her marriage, she worked in South St. Paul for Swift & Company
as a purchasing agent. She later worked as a homemaker, living
in Minnesota and Texas before moving to Grand Junction, Colorado
in 1961, where she resided at the time of her death. Vi and
Glenn were married for 64 years. They were long time members of
the American Lutheran Church where they had many friends.
Vi is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Glenn; her children,
Sandra K. Kraft of Maryland, and Robert A. Kraft of California,
and six grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Robert
J. Nelson of Minnesota.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 2, 11:30 a.m. at
the American Lutheran Church, 631 26-1/2 Rd., Grand Junction,
Colorado, 81506. Interment will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery
at 3:00 p.m.

Church or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado,
3090B North 12th St, Grand Junction, Colorado 81506.

Mortuary.
