Delta, Colorado resident, "Nadine" Lillpop, passed away on Saturday,
June 9, 2012, at the Horizon's Care Center in Eckert, Colorado.
She was 84 years of age.
A memorial service was held July 3, 2012, at the Delta United
Methodist Church.
Nadine was born Lora Nadine Phillips to William Edgar and
Lovella Joyce (Reed) Phillips on June 26, 1927, at Fowler, CO.
She spent her childhood and school years in Fowler, Olney
Springs, Crowley, and Monte Vista. Her education was furthered at
Adams State College in Alamosa.
Nadine married Lawrence Roy Lillpop at Monte Vista on July 28.
1946. They celebrated almost 41 years of marriage before his death
on May 7, 1987 at Delta. They moved to Delta in 1986 coming from
Pitkin, CO. Lawrence worked for the Colorado Division of Wildlife
at fish hatcheries. So they had lived at Rifle, Carbondale and Monte
Vista.
Nadine was a member of the Delta United Methodist Church. She
had been an active member of the United Methodist Women. She
was also active as a member of the Daughters of the American
Revolution. Her hobbies included music, crafts and gardening.
Those grateful to have shared in Nadine's life include her two children,
Thomas E. Lillpop and spouse, Jennie of Grand Junction,
Colorado, and Kathleen Panter and spouse, Thomas of Delta, Colorado;
four brothers, Joseph Phillips and spouse, June of Oxnard,
California; Robert Phillips and spouse, Lucille of Buckeye, Arizona;
Donald Phillips and spouse, Kay Lee of Springfield, Oregon, and
Dale Phillips of Buckeye, Arizona; four sisters, Eris McLeod of
Alaska; Lois Snider and spouse, Robert; Gladys Scriven and Eunice
Rice, all of Arizona; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Lillpop and
brothers, William and Jack Phillips.
