Bertha M. Russell was a long time resident of Mesa County. She
was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lenore Wright;
sister, Edna L. Smuin; and husband of 33 years, Laflate Leo Russell.
She is survived by her sister, Georgia Riggle, and nine children,
Laura Lee Fulop, Leander G. Russell, Gordon L. Russell, Adelia M.
Russell, Amelia E. Lyons, Kenneth B. Russell, Larry B. Russell,
Jimmy L. Russell, and Dan D. Russell; 14 grandchildren, and 20
great-grandchildren.
Bertha enjoyed making cloth greeting cards, cross stick crosses,
and bottle cap hot pads. She also enjoyed fishing, bible study, and
church.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at
Rocket Park from 5-9:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Callahan-Edfast
Mortuary.

Bertha Mae Russell, 84, Clifton, died July 7, 2012, at Hospice
Care Center.
Services will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Rocket Park.
Ms. Russell was a homemaker.
Survivors include six sons, Leander G. of Mammoth, Ariz., Gordon,
Kenneth, Larry and Jimmy, all of Nucla, and Don of Clifton; three
daughters, Laura Fulop of Clifton, Adelia Russell of Grand Junction
and Amelia Lyons of Phoenix; one sister, Georgia Riggle of Clifton; 15
grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
