Lee Ann Ryden, 76, Grand Junction, died July 20, 2012, at Hospice
Care Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery
of Western Colorado.
Mrs. Ryden was a health care contractor.
Survivors include her husband, William S. Ryden Jr.; three sons,
John of Loveland, and Scott and Dale, both of Grand Junction; two
daughters, Vicki Fitzgerald of Green Bay, Wis., and Jana Edwards
of Grand Junction; her mother, Elsie Carruthers of Cypress, Calif.;
one sister, Susan Carruthers of Cerritos, Calif.; eight grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.

20, 2012, after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by her husband
and best friend, William Ryden of
Grand Junction; mother, Elsie
Carruthers; sister, Susan Carruthers;
five children, Scott Ryden
(Barbara Justice); John Ryden
(Lynne); Vicki Fitzgerald (Scott);
Jana Edwards, and Dale Ryden (Laura); eight grandchildren, Jennifer
Eng, Brie Ryden, Wendi Bennett, Sarah Nisley, Michael Edwards,
Kaitlyn Fitzgerald, Stephanie Ryden and Shawn Ryden, and
five great-grandchildren, Morgan Bennett, Kendall Bennett, Dylan
Eng, Jaxon Hyde and Jackson Nisley. She is preceded in death by
her father, George Carruthers; mother, Lucille Fite and father, Fred
Fite.
Lee Ann was born October 24, 1935, in Long Beach, CA. She
graduated from Beaumont High School in Beaumont, CA in 1953.
She married husband Bill in November, 1959, while he was in the
Marine Corps in CA and they spent the next 53 years together. Lee
Ann loved her family, her country, holidays, baseball, doll collecting
and antiquing and instilled her kids with a very strong sense of
family. She will remain forever in our hearts.
The family would like to thank all the extended family, friends,
co-workers, Dr. Motz, Dr. Lapkin, Dr. Khan-Farooqi, the staff of St.
Mary's Hospital, Family Health West Hospital and Hospice & Palliative
Care of Western Colorado for their love, care and support. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care
of Western Colorado, 3090B N. 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO,
81506.
Services will be held at the Veteran's Administration Cemetery at
2830 D Road, Grand Junction, CO on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at
9:45 a.m.
