Douglas A. Halbrook
July 26, 1951 – July 25, 2012
Douglas A. Halbrook, age 60, passed away Wednesday, July 25, at
the VA CLC Hospice/Palliative care center in Grand Junction.
He worked for the City of Grand Junction water department for
over 30 years.
He is survived by his mother, Florence of Arvada, CO; his sister,
Pat (Dale) Schmitz of Broomfield, CO; his brother, Jim (Nancy) of
Portland, OR; four nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and
nephews and many wonderful friends.
A memorial service will be held at Callahan-Edfast in Grand Junction
on August 11th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Ft. Logan National
Cemetery in Denver.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts may be made
to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado 3090B 12th St.
Grand Junction, CO 81506 or to the Grand Junction VA Medical
Center: Hospice/CLC fund, Customer Relations Dept., 2121 N Ave,
Grand Junction , CO 81501.

at Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 11 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Mr. Halbrook was a government maintenance worker.
Survivors include his mother, Florence of Arvada; one brother,
James of Portland, Ore.; and one sister, Patricia L. Schmitz of
Broomfield.
