2012, at Mesa Manor.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. today at Grand Junction Memorial
Gardens, followed by services.
Mr. Cole was a diesel mechanic and welder.
Survivors include three sisters, Verline Alexander of Grand
Junction, Alva Patterson of Grants, N.M., and Sylva Rees of Grand
Junction.

Ollie was born at Vici, OK,
during the dust bowl days to Ollie
and Violet Cole. The family
moved to Colorado in 1937, first
to Delta, and later to Rifle.
B u d g r a d u a t e d f r o m R i f l e
Schools in 1951, and then worked
in the Uranium Mines. He spent
several years in Oklahoma and went to Diesel Mechanic School in
Okmulgee. He returned to Colorado in the mid 1960's where he
worked as a mechanic and welder for Garfield County.
He had a lifelong love of horses, being especially fond of Cricket,
his Palomino. Bud had a very big heart, was kind and loving towards
family and friends, and was a Christian.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Lorene
Threewit of Caldwell, ID; Olene Blackman of St. George, UT, and
Melva (Judy) Sonntag of Yuma, AZ. Surviving sisters are Sylva
Rees and Verlene Alexander of Grand Junction, CO, and Alva
Patterson of Grants, NM; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins,
and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held at Memorial Gardens Mausoleum on Friday,
May 25, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., with funeral services to immedia
