Former Steamboat Springs resident Lenore D. Rauscher passed away Aug. 9, 2004, at her home in Grand Junction. She was 78.

Lenny was born Sept. 17, 1925, to Robert and Alvida Walline Lundquist in Funk, Neb. Lenny grew up and graduated from high school in Akron.

She married Lloyd McClelland on Feb. 9, 1946. The couple resided in Steamboat for the next 35 years and was active in Concordia Lutheran Church.

Mac and Lenny raised two children, Patrick and Mary.

In 1980, Lenny retired from Beckett Drug, where she was a clerk and bookkeeper for 20 years. Lenny and Mac retired to Grand Junction one year later.

Mac preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 1983.

Lenny married Wally Rauscher on Nov. 3, 1984. Wally preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2002.

Lenny was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church from 1981 until her death. She was surrounded by her church, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous friends.

She is survived by a son, Patrick McClelland of Steamboat; a daughter, Mary Reich of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandsons, Jason McClelland of Grand Junction, Lance McClelland of Colorado Springs, Eric McClelland of Steamboat, Randall Wahl of Folsom, Calif., and Thomas Wahl of Sacramento; a brother, Milford Lundquist of Denver; four sisters, Aurora Lund of Denver, Iola Wise of Akron, Dony Goodwin of Durango and Marion England of San Antonio, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Friday at Messiah Lutheran Church in Grand Junction. Graveside services took place Saturday at Steamboat Springs Cemetery.
