Trancy G. Heit, age 76, a resident of Grand Junction for the past 15
years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
Trancy was born on April 25, 1936, in Elkins, West Virginia. She
married James V. Heit on June 21, 1957, and spent the next 14 years
assigned to various locations as a US Air Force family. Trancy was
an exceptional wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. She had
a very quiet and gentle spirit, always doing what she could to meet
her families' needs.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James V. Heit; their
daughter, Christina (Eric) Pennal; grandson, Ryan (Mandy) Carroll,
and granddaughter, Cierra J. Pennal. Her sister, Wanna Bradley of
Elkins, West Virginia, and numerous other family members also
survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
A viewing will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on Saturday,
May 26, 2012, at noon, with funeral services to immediately follow
at 1:00p.m.

Trancy G. Heit, 76, Grand Junction, died May 22, 2012, at St.
Mary’s Hospital.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary,
followed by services.
Ms. Heit was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, James V.; one daughter, Christina
M. Pennal of Grand Junction; one sister, Wanna Bradley of
Elkins, W.Va.; and two grandchildren.
