Hospice Care Center.

Ms. Biddie was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Shepard of Grand Junction;
one brother, Bruce Wright of Fort Morgan; one sister, Mary Ann
Wright of Grand Junction; one grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.

December 25, 1920 – May 24, 2012
Lora Biddie, of Grand Junction, went home to her Lord Jesus on
May 24, 2012, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado.
She was 91. Born on December 25, 1920, to Frank and Bertha
(Scott) Wright in Gunnison, Colorado, she was fourth
of their nine children. Most of her school years were in Gunnison,
but she graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1937.
As a youth, she played violin, was an excellent dancer and was an
avid reader all her life. As a young adult, she rode a Harley a ll the
way to Texas and back.
She married Les Biddie on May 6, 1950, in Ouray, Colorado. They
lived in Denver, Albuquerque, Salt Lake City, New Orleans, Hous -
ton, Wichita, and in Los Angeles, Lakewood, Benicia and Cerrito s,
California. They returned to Grand Junction in 1983. She was ea rlier
divorced from John F. Carson.
A long-time member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ,
she enjoyed many wonderful friendships there, serving as Elder and
Treasurer and teaching Bible studies for many years. She receiv ed
Christ as her Savior while attending a Bible study in Wichita, Kansas
in the 1970’s.
Survivors include daughter, Sue Shepard, Grand Junction; gran ddaughter,
Sarah (Josh) Cody and their children, Thaddaeus, Tirz a,
Theodore, and Titus of Wagner, South Dakota. She is also survived
by brother, Bruce Wright, Ft. Morgan; sister, Mary Ann Wright
Trom, Grand Junction; many nieces and nephews and great nieces
and nephews. She was fondly known to them as Auntie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Les; broth ers,
Wayne, Bob, Frank, Keith, and Danny Wright, and sister, Aline
Wright Cline.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10 at
11:00 a.m., New Life Church, 1350 N. 7th Street, Grand Junction. A
light lunch will be served immediately following. She was cremated
and interment is in Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Val, Jackie and Cindy, and friends who took such kind and lovin g
