Frank Phillip Foraker, 82, Grand Junction, died May 25, 2012,
at Larchwood Inns.
Services are pending.
Mr. Foraker was a bread salesman.
Survivors include one son, Stephen White of Grand Junction;
two daughters, Diane Foraker of Palisade and Paula Cooper of
Fruita; two brothers, Howard Foraker of Denver and Roy Foraker
of Fruita; three sisters, Colleen Milsap and Hazel Littrell, both of
Grand Junction and Betty Faul of Flint, Mich.; 11 grandchildren;
and seven great-grandchildren.

Frank Foraker, age 82, passed
away at Larchwood Inns on May
25, 2012.
He was born in Omega, OK on
June 21, 1929. Frank was raised
on a farm and was the third of
nine children born to Lawson and
Elizabeth Foraker. They moved to
the Fruitvale area when Frank
was eight years old. He received
his high school diploma at Palisade
High School in 1950. Frank
was a great basketball player,
helping to obtain the 1949 State
Championship win.
In 1951, Frank enlisted in the
Army and served in the Korean
War as a Combat Engineer from
March, 1951 to December, 1952.
He worked for Clymer's Dairy
delivering milk for several years,
then went to work for Holsum
Bakery in 1957 for the next 37
years, retiring in 1994.
Frank married Ruthie Ann Whitley in 1955. They had two children,
Diane Foraker and Michael P. Foraker. They divorced in 1960.
He married Martha Jo Peet in September, 1968.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He especially enjoyed
time spent with his family and grandchildren. He liked to go horse
back riding, and bowling. He enjoyed cooking, watching football
and was a talented craftsman, creating leather pieces of all sorts.
Frank lived at home until August, 2008, when he moved to Larchwood
Inns Nursing Home Facility.
Frank is preceded in death by his son, Michael Phillip Foraker; his
wife, Martha Jo; three sisters, Dorothy, Ruth, and Peggy. He is survived
by his son, Stephen White of Grand Junction; daughters, Diane
Foraker of Palisade; Paula (Randy) Cooper of Fruita; three sisters,
Collene (Ronnie) Milsap of Grand Junction; Betty (Larry) Faul
of Flint, MI, and Hazel (Frosty) Littrell of Grand Junction; brothers,
Howard Foraker of Denver, and Roy (Marilyn) of Fruita; 11 grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and
nieces.
Memorial services will be held at Palisade Church of the Nazarene,
3595 Front Street on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
Cremation has taken place.
