Joy was born in Lamar, CO in
1942. She moved to Olathe soon
after and graduated from Olathe
High School. All that met her
k n e w s h e w a s a p p r o p r i a t e l y
named as she brought joy to everyone.
Joy loved laughing and
joking with her friends, fishing,
watching birds in her beautiful
back yard, and traveling to Lake
Powell and the beaches of Mexico. She was active in the Montrose
and Delta Elks.
She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Boyd Grett; her brother,
Jess Grett of Olathe; her sons, Mark and Scott Conner of Denver;
her step-son, Todd Harris and granddaughter, Casey Harris of
Breckenridge. and her companion, Tom Rowan. She is preceded in
death by her husband, Gene Harris; her brother, Jimmy Grett; her
father, James L. Grett; her daughter, Dawn Conner, and her
step-son, John Harris.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June
2, 2012, at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel in Montrose.
