Marion Eugene “Pete” Madsen was born Jan. 8, 1950, in Linden, Utah, the son of Marion R. and Betty Ellen (Fowler) Madsen, Jr. He was raised in several communities in Utah, including Whiteriver, Spanish Fork and Bonanza.
Pete worked on the Eisenhower Tunnel project as a cement finisher and during that time was married to Connie E. McLimore. This event took place Oct. 18, 1971, in Kremmling.
They became the parents of four children and made their home in Vernal, Utah, Kremmling, and Willow Creek, Utah, as Pete worked as a mechanic in the oil fields for 18 years until he was injured on the job.
Pete enjoyed collecting and shooting guns, hunting, fishing, camping, team roping, watching The History Channel, riding bucking horses, watching Westerns, building truck engines, working on his trucks and listening to music. He also liked to watch football and was an avid Denver Broncos fan.
Pete was very passionate about his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he had coffee with regularly and had nicknames for most of them. He enjoyed being with and around his son and sons-in-law. He was a member of the Roping Club and coached T- ball.
