Richard Hodge, 74, of Forsyth, Mo., died April 15, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Oak Creek the son of M.R. (Barney) and Helen Ruth (Schultz) Hodge.
Richard and Wanda were wed at Esbon, Kan., on Sept. 27, 1959.
Richard served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years in camera tech photo reconnaissance.
He worked at the Life Touch Portrait Studios for 24 years and retired March 31, 2004.
In 2001, he moved from Reno, Nev., to Forsyth. Dick did leather work making purses and wallets and enjoyed traveling. In his spare time, he would do puzzles and find treasures to add to his many collections.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Wanda; children Nathan Edwin Hodge, of Germany, Dorthea Lynn Short and Steven Richard Hodge, of Reno, and David Dennis Hodge, of Pahrump, Nev.; and four grandchildren, Jennifer, Amber, Valerie and Daniel.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Nathan Earl.
A funeral was held at 2 p.m. April 21, 2012, at the Faith Assembly of God in Forsyth. Arrangements are under the direction of the Forsyth Whelchel Funeral Chapel.
