Patrick “Sam” Pettigrew, 55, of Eagle, died Tuesday in Eagle of pancreatic cancer
He was born the son of Tom and Earline Pettigrew on Dec. 16, 1957, in Shelby, Mont. His family later moved to Miles City. He grew to love playing music at an early age. He also loved flying, and aviation. While working at the Country Club in Miles City, he met the love of his life, Mari Rogers. They were married on Sept. 9, 1978, and were together for 34 years. Three boys became of this union. Sam was a wastewater treatment operator. This brought them to Missoula, Mont.; Lynnwood Wash.; Concrete, Wash.; and Eagle.
Sam was preceded in death by his father, Tom Pettigrew, and his father In-law, Neil Rogers. Sam is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Mari; one daughter Loni (Ben) Anschuetz of Bonner, Mont.; three sons, Tyler (Katie Kingston), Thomas (Jill) Pettigrew, of Eagle, and Trevor (Jessica Boriskin) Pettigrew, of El Cerrito, Calif.; his mother, Earlene Pettigrew, and mother-in-law, Lorraine Rogers, both of Miles City, Mont.; his grandchildren, Gavin, Caitlynn and Marc Anschuetz, of Bonner, Mont., and Layla, Syndey and Kolton Pettigrew of Eagle; two brothers, Pete (Sharon) Pettigrew, of Alexandria, Va., and Parker Pettigrew of Houston; two sisters: Peggy (Wayne) Hill of Miles City, Mont., and Pam Pettigrew of Glendive, Mont.; brothers and sisters in-laws include Pat (Cheryl) Rogers, Bernadette (Gary) Cridland, of Miles City, Mont., Norma (Tom) Close, of Powell, Wyo., Adrian Rogers, of Miles City, Mont., Mike (Joelyn) Rogers of Billings, Mont., Joe (Lynn) Rogers, of Bozeman, Mont., Jeff (Lori) Rogers and Tamara Erlenbusch, of Miles City, Mont. Sam had many nieces and nephews that were so dear to his heart.
Funeral services will be today at 11 a.m. at Grace Bible Church in Miles City, Mont. Interment will be in Custer County Cemetery in Miles City, Mont.
