Edith Mary Ligrani, born December
3rd, 1914, passed away
June 3rd, 2012, in Springerville,
AZ.
Known and loved by the community
in Grand Junction, Colorado,
she lived an active life as a
church organist, dance school and
orchestra pianist and accompanist
for high school events. In 1981,
after husband Roxy Ligrani's death, she continued her musical career
in the Phoenix area performing 31 years with her daughter
Genny. She was a great cook and she loved animals. She was a
wonderful, giving mother, grandmother, great- and great, great
-grandmother and wife. Her presence will forever be in the hearts of
all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Genevieve Ligrani-Leggett;
granddaughter, Christine Jackson, MD; grandson, Marvin R. Jackson
III (TJ); great-grandchildren, Rick Gerkin, Jackie Jackson, and
Tucker Jackson, great-great-granddaughter, Riley Sue Gerkin and
many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday June 8th, from 4 - 6:00 p.m. at
Callahan-Edfast Funeral Home, Grand Junction, Colorado and
graveside service will be Saturday June 9th, at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary
Catholic Cemetery in Grand Junction. Friends and family are
invited.
