Frances “Jean” Teansky, age 72,
passed away Monday, June 4,
2012, at her home in Olathe, after
a long battle with cancer.
Jean was born July 6, 1939, in
Hemingford, Nebraska to Charles
and Ruth (Hollinrake) Osborn.
Jean spent all of her childhood
and graduated for Hemingford
High School. Jean married Gerald
Teansky in Hot Springs, South Dakota on March 18, 1958.
Jean and Jerry moved their family to the Olathe, Montrose area in
the mid 1960's, where they raised their family. Jean worked as a
school bus driver for many years. She loved and enjoyed the kids
she drove to school each day. Jean also worked at Wal-Mart where
she retired from.
Jean's great joy in life was her family she enjoyed especially all of
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing a big part in
raising all of them. They were the light of her life.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Teansky of the
family home; her sons, Rodney Teansky of Olathe, and Blake Teansky
of Hotchkiss, CO; her daughters, Victoria Geer of Soldotna,
Alaska, and Lark Keehfuss of Montrose. Jean is also survived by her
brothers, Charles Osborn Jr., of Pullman, Michigan, and Gail Osborn
of Tacoma, Washington; as well as her sister, Elenor Baker of
Rapid City, South Dakota. Jean is also survived by nine precious
grandchildren and 12 treasured great-grandchildren.
A Service in Loving Memory of Jean will be held Friday, June 8,
2012, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Montrose. To
honor Jean, guests attending the service are asked to dress in western
shirts and blue jeans or casual wear. Jean was a simple person
and enjoyed the simple things in life. Burial will follow at the Olathe
Cemetery in Olathe, CO.
