Martha Alice Young
Martha Alice Young, daughter of Elizabeth C. Mather Lee and Henry C. Lee, was born May 19, 1906 on Blue River ranch, and passed away April 2, 1942. She is survived by one son, Adam Beltom Young, who is serving in the United States Army and when last heard of had sailed for parts unknown.
She is also survived by her grandmother, Mrs. Sara Mather; four uncles, Dave McPhee of Sheephorn, D.A. Lee of Denver, R.H. Lee of Bussy, Ia, and John Mather of Sheephorn; three aunts, Mrs. Hal Blakesley of Sheephorn, Mrs. Fred McGee of Grass Creek, Wyo. and Mrs. Alice Greer of Greeley; a number of cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral service were (sic) held Tuesday afternoon at the Cottonwood school house, with Rev. J. Graydon Wilson officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. Charles Free Jr., Mrs. MacFarland, Mrs. A.B. Mugrage and Miss Knight, with Mrs. Charles Free Sr. at the piano. Pallbearers were Charles Free Jr., Carl Forster, Mark Curry, Henry Hinton, C.C. Gutzler and G. Ward Ross. Burial was in the Sheephorn cemetery.
