Funeral services for Tony Zalar, late of Red Cliff, will be held Saturday, Feb. 7 at Red Cliff, with the American Legion post there in charge. Mr. Zalar at one time lived in Leadville and was a veteran of World War I. His death occurred January 29 following a long illness.

"My Aunt told me that my Grandmother told her that when she married my Grandfather, John Zalar, John had a brother that was still in Slovenia. My Grandmother had a little money put aside and used it to send for this brother Anton, Anthony Tony Zalar. When he came to this country he joined the Army, my Aunt did not know the details of where or when he joined.
