John “Jack” Howard Peters November 19, 1952 – October 29, 2012
John ”Jack” Peters of Redmond, OR, went to be with his Lord and
Savior. He died of a sudden and unexpected heart attack.
Jack was born in Rapid City, SD. Later the family moved to
MT. Jack spent his childhood on their ranch, riding horses and
forming a deep love of animals. His education began in two room
school house on the Indian Reservation, where he graduated from
eigth grade. The family moved to Meeker, CO, where they ranched
and took in hunters. The entire family enjoyed in taking part i n the
Meeker Massacre Pageant, every fourth of July. Jack graduated from
Meeker High School, then on to Mesa College, in Grand Junction,
CO, where he earned his associate in science degree, in agricul ture.
He then earned a bachelor of science and business degree from
Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, CO. Jack's professional life
included ranch loan officer, in Cheyenne, WY, Steamboat Springs ,
CO, The Dalles, OR, and Redmond, OR.
Jack and his wife, Ala’s, life revolved around their German s hepherd
dogs, their country home, and their church.
Survivors include his wife, Ala of Redmond; his mother, Joyce
Peters Williams; sister, Debera Peters of Grand Junction, CO;
brother, Randy of Rifle, CO; nephews, Dustin, Casey, Bradley a nd
Austin; niece, Lindsey Peters; Ala's daughter and son-in-law, M r.
and Mrs. Chris Schreiner of Bend, OR, and numerous relatives in
Wyoming and Mississippi will also grieve his passing.
His father, Robert Peters and brother, Bill. preceded him in death
several years ago.

John “Jack” Peters, of Redmond, Ore., went to be with his Lord and savior Oct. 29, 2012. He died of a sudden and unexpected heart attack.
Jack was born in Rapid City, S.D. Later the family moved to Montana. Jack spent his childhood on their ranch, riding horses and forming a deep love for animals.
His education began in a two-room schoolhouse on the Indian reservation, where he graduated from eighth grade. The family moved to Meeker, where they ranched and took in hunters. The entire family enjoyed taking part in the Meeker Massacre Pageant every Fourth of July. Jack graduated from Meeker High School, then went on to Mesa State College in Grand Junction, where he earned his associated degree.
