Frank F. Arellano, 66, passed away peacefully on April 14.
Frank was born in Taos, N.M., and lived in Chamisal until the age of 6, when his dad started working at the New Jersey Zinc Co., in Gilman, Colo.
Frank started school when his family moved to Minturn in 1952. He continued his school years there until graduating in 1965. He was always proud of being a Battle Mountain Husky.
Frank started working at the Climax Molybdenum mine in 1965. He was there for 20 years until the mine closed. He then moved to Lakewood and worked at Rocky Flats until he retired in 2003. He moved to Pueblo West where he resided until his death.
Frank was a member of the Pueblo West Baptist Church, where he was honored to serve as an Outreach Director and Deacon.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Laura J Montoya-Arellano; children Frank F. Arellano Jr., Barbara (Chief) Reno, Laurie (Doug) Pfeifer and John P. Arellano; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his mother, Maria; brothers Joe and Eugene; and sister Rose Marie (Andy) Sandoval.
He was preceded in death by his father, Salomon, and two brothers, Albert and Salomon Jr.
Services were held April 19 at Imperial Funeral Home and April 20 at Pueblo West Baptist Church. Internment is at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be made on line at www.imperialfunerals.com.
