Marjorie Hagan Williams, a part-time Vail resident, died Tuesday at Lutheran Medical Center in Lakewood following complications resulting from congestive heart failure. She was 86 years old.
Born Jan. 19, 1917, in Greeley, she graduated from Colorado Teachers College, now the University of Northern Colorado, in 1938. Her professional interests included custom home-building and decorating, as well as commercial development in Lakewood, Greeley, Georgetown and many other areas of Denver and Colorado. In Vail, she frequently volunteered with the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame.
An avid traveller, she enjoyed visiting all parts of the world and sharing her discoveries with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, M.E. and Jennie Lee Hagan of Greeley, her husband, E. Neil Williams of Denver; and brother George Hagan of Traverse City, Mich.
She is survived by her sons, Kit of Vail, Londell of Whitefish, Mont. and Jay of Denver; and granddaughter Sere of Denver.
Funeral arrangements are being coordinated through DeWitt & Tabler FUneral Directors, 1-303-282-4753. A celebration of her life will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Mile High Church, 9077 W. Alameda Ave, in Lakewood. Graveside services and internment will follow at 3 p.m. at Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Ave. in Greeley.
